Lovely West Falmouth Harbor, which is one of the prettiest harbors on Cape Cod and is bordered by Chappoquoit Island and Buzzards Bay, and is home to many sail and motor boat moorings.
Put in at Old Dock Road (there is a boat ramp there). Parking for a few cars is possible at the boat ramp, but most will need to park at the Bike Path parking area several hundred yards away (there are about 20-30 available spots). From the boat ramp we will paddle straight across the harbor, westward, to a jetty and a beautiful boulder-strewn beach where there is an osprey nest and also a great clamming bed for those who might wish to clam (license needed)…and where we will also eat our lunch. From there, one can also traverse a bit of land to get over to Little Island Beach. Additionally or optionally, one can paddle south under the Chappoquoit Road bridge into a small and serene inlet.
